Publication Ethics
Persistent Education Journal (JPP) is committed to ensuring integrity in scientific publishing. We follow internationally recognized publication ethics guidelines and ensure that every article published in our journal meets the highest academic standards.
1. Author Responsibilities
Authors of articles in Persistent Education Journal (JPP) must adhere to the following principles:
- Originality: Authors must ensure that the work submitted is their original creation and does not contain plagiarism. If any part of the work is taken from another source, authors must provide clear attribution.
- Diversity of Contributions: Authors must list all contributors who have made significant contributions to the research and writing of the article. The main author must ensure that all authors mentioned in the article have approved the final manuscript.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may exist during the research or writing of the article.
- Focus on Data: Authors must ensure that the data used in the article is valid and legally obtained. Data manipulation or withholding results that do not align with the research goals is prohibited.
- Compliance with Licenses: Authors must ensure that their published work complies with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows articles to be distributed and reused legally with proper attribution.
2. Editor Responsibilities
Journal editors are responsible for:
- Publication Decisions: Editors make decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of articles based on their quality and contribution to the field of education. These decisions will not be influenced by personal factors, such as the author's background or affiliation.
- Fair Editing: Editors ensure that every article is edited objectively and impartially. All articles will be considered based on scientific quality and their contribution to knowledge in the field of education.
- Confidentiality: Editors must maintain the confidentiality of information provided by authors, as well as the information contained in articles under review. This information should not be used for personal gain.
- Handling Conflicts of Interest: Editors must approach issues of conflicts of interest in a transparent and objective manner. If a conflict of interest is relevant to an article under consideration, the editor must disclose the potential conflict and may recuse themselves from the review process.
3. Reviewer Responsibilities
Journal reviewers are responsible for:
- Objective Evaluation: Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based assessments. They are expected to offer useful feedback to improve the quality of the article.
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the article they are reviewing and must not disclose or share the article's content without permission from the editor.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest related to the article they are reviewing, whether it concerns the author, affiliation, or research topic.
- Integrity: Reviewers must ensure that there is no plagiarism, data manipulation, or factual errors in the article they are reviewing.
4. Publisher Responsibilities
The publisher of Persistent Education Journal (JPP) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the journal and supporting authors, editors, and reviewers in adhering to publication ethics guidelines. The publisher will also address complaints and disputes related to publications transparently and fairly.
5. Plagiarism Prevention
Persistent Education Journal (JPP) uses plagiarism detection software to ensure that the articles published are free from plagiarism. Articles that are found to contain plagiarism or falsified work will be rejected or retracted from publication in accordance with the journal's policy.
6. Corrections and Retraction of Articles
If significant errors are found in a published article, whether related to data or research results, we will correct or retract the article. The article retraction process will be carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures in place at the journal.
