Persistent Education Journal (JPP) follows a transparent, fair, and objective peer review procedure. The peer review process aims to ensure the quality and academic integrity of every article published in this journal. Below are the stages of the review process:

1. Submission of Articles by Authors

Authors submit their articles through our journal's submission management system, ensuring that the article adheres to the journal's writing guidelines and is free from plagiarism. Accepted articles are then reviewed by the journal's editor for an initial evaluation.

2. Initial Assessment by the Editor

After the article is submitted, the journal's editor conducts an initial assessment to verify the article's alignment with the journal's focus and scope, and to ensure that the article follows the journal's writing guidelines. If the article passes the initial evaluation, it will proceed to the review process.

3. Selection of Reviewers

The journal editor will select two to three reviewers with expertise in the relevant field of the article's topic. Reviewers are chosen based on the quality of their research, experience in the related field, and their academic reputation. We strive to select independent reviewers who have no conflicts of interest with the authors.

4. Review Process

  • Reviewer Tasks: Reviewers are asked to evaluate the article based on several criteria, including the quality of the methodology, originality and relevance of the topic, contribution to the field of education, and the clarity and structure of the writing.
  • Review Duration: Reviewers are given 2-4 weeks to complete the review process, depending on the complexity of the article and the number of articles being reviewed.
  • Anonymity Policy: Persistent Education Journal applies a double-blind peer review, meaning that the identities of both the authors and reviewers are kept hidden from each other to maintain objectivity and avoid bias.

5. Feedback from Reviewers

After conducting the evaluation, reviewers provide constructive feedback on the article. This feedback includes recommendations for improvements, clarifications, or necessary revisions. Reviewers also make a decision on whether the article is suitable for publication, with the following options:

  • Accept without revisions: The article is accepted for publication without changes.
  • Accept with minor revisions: The article is accepted with a few minor revisions.
  • Major revisions: The article may be accepted after significant revisions are made.
  • Reject: The article is rejected for publication for certain reasons (e.g., lack of scientific contribution or serious methodological issues).

6. Editor Decision

After receiving feedback from the reviewers, the journal editor will assess the recommendations and decisions provided. Based on this evaluation, the editor will make a final decision regarding the article's status:

  • Accepted for publication: The article is accepted for publication after the necessary revisions are made.
  • Accepted with revisions: The author is asked to make revisions according to the feedback from the reviewers and resubmit the revised article.
  • Rejected: The article is rejected if it does not meet the journal's quality standards or does not align with the focus and scope of the journal.

7. Revisions and Resubmission by the Author

If the article is requested for revision, the author must make the changes according to the suggestions from the reviewers and editors. After the revisions are made, the revised article will be resubmitted to the editor for further evaluation and, if necessary, sent back to the reviewers for verification.

8. Article Publication

Once the article is accepted and revisions are completed, the article will be processed for publication in the next edition of Persistent Education Journal. This process includes editing, final formatting, and preparation for online and print publication (if required).

9. Ethics and Transparency in the Review Process

We ensure that the peer review process is conducted fairly and free from conflicts of interest. All parties involved in the review process are expected to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. If there are any issues or questions regarding the review process, authors can contact the journal editor for clarification.

With this process, Persistent Education Journal (JPP) aims to maintain the quality of the articles published and ensure that the scientific contributions published are beneficial to the academic community and practitioners in the field of education.
